In my opinion - digital art is MUCH easier. Lots of people here seem to disagree - but that is my experience.
Digital allows color, contrast and brightness corrections, it allows infinite changes to proportion and composition, you can save effort by collage, you can instantly and exactly compare to reference material, you never have physical problems like paint being too wet/dry/thick/thin. The examples are endless.
Traditional art is MUCH harder and more expensive to do.
And the more you want realism, the more digital art races ahead.
The only reason traditional might be easier is if you don’t care about realism, (or detail) as important goals.
