You should fight against whatever is stopping you from staying consistent. Here are some of the most common reasons why someone eventually stops trying: You feel demotivated.
And why is that?
We usually compare works.
If you have just started, don’t compare your 1st work to someone else’s 100th. Gather inspiration. Learn from them. But never think you’re inadequate just because you see your works as “not good enough”.
2. Oftentimes, we lose sight of our goals.
To be consistent, you need to keep your eyes on the prize.
3. We feel like there is no improvement.
Trust the process. Remember that progress is better than perfection. If you fail, try again, try harder. Someday, you’ll look back at your previous works and realize that you’ve been making progress without even noticing.
4. We just feel lazy.
It’s totally okay to take a rest sometimes, but constant laziness will get you nowhere. So fake it till you make it!
